Hello everyone, how are you all? So in today’s Artical, I’m going to tell you about a powerful camera app that will help you click photos like this on your phone. So make sure to watch the video till the end to see which app it is and how to use it—I’ll explain everything in complete detail. So let’s start the video. The camera app I’m talking about is called GCam. I’ll tell you where to get it in a bit.
But first, you need to make a very important setting in it. Only then will you be able to click good photos or even cinematic photos. Okay, so first open camera app, click right, then click on the More Settings option that’s showing. And then, click on the Custom File option that’s visible here, and just click on the Save that’s showing. So click here—it’s that simple. You just need to do this one thing here. Now, for the time being, close the GCam application, and go to your file manager—meaning, open your file manager. After opening it, just come here and go to your downloads folder.
Because now you’ll need the config file. This config file’s link is in the description box—save it from there. So obviously, it will go to the downloads folder, that’s why I’m saying go to the downloads folder so you can find the file easily. Okay, now this file’s link is down side — save it from there. Long press on it to hold it, select it—like I’ve done. Then, after that, you’ll see the Move option here—click on it, then select Internal Storage, go to the downloads section, and then go to the downloads folder itself.
You’ll find a folder here called GCAM —okay, click on it, and inside it, you’ll see a configs folder. Click on that and just done—it’ll be placed there. So your config file will just go into this AGC’s configs here—okay, you can see the config has arrived. Okay, so our config file is now added here in the camera app. Now we can use this camera app to click amazing photos. So to click photos, first we go outdoors, and after that, you’ll notice that all the config files are available here—okay.
📸 What Are GCam Config Files
Google Camera (GCam) is originally designed for Pixel devices, which means it is not perfectly optimized for every smartphone. Different phones have different sensors, lenses, and processing systems, so GCam may not perform at its best on all devices.
To fix this, developers create GCam Config Files.
A GCam Config File is an XML file that contains pre-defined camera settings optimized specifically for your device.
In simple words:
👉 GCam Config File = Ready-made settings that improve GCam performance on your phone.
📌 Why Are GCam Config Files Needed?
Every smartphone is built differently:
- Different camera sensors
- Different image processing
- Different color calibration
- Different noise levels
- Different lens hardware
Since GCam is not made for all phones, config files help:
✔ Improve color accuracy
✔ Fix exposure issues
✔ Boost HDR+ performance
✔ Balance sharpness and noise
✔ Enhance Night Sight results
✔ Improve portrait mode detection
In short, config files help you get Pixel-like photo quality on non-Pixel devices.
📌 What Do GCam Config Files Adjust?
A config file can modify several important settings, such as:
- HDR+ tuning
- Noise reduction
- Sharpness level
- Saturation & color tones
- Exposure compensation
- AWB (Auto White Balance)
- Night Sight & Astrophotography settings
- Ultra-wide & Telephoto lens optimization
These adjustments help you capture cleaner, sharper, and more natural photos.
📂 Where Are GCam Config Files Stored?
Most devices use this path:
Internal Storage → GCam → Configs
Depending on your GCam version, the folder may be:
- Configs7
- Configs8
- ConfigsCamera
If the folder doesn’t exist, you can create it manually.
🛠 How to Use GCam Config Files (Step-by-Step)
1. Install a Compatible GCam APK
Download the best GCam version for your smartphone.
2. Create the Configs Folder
Go to your file manager and create:
GCam → Configs
(or Configs7/Configs8 depending on your version)
3. Download the XML Config File (Link is here0
Choose the config file recommended for your device.
4. Move the XML File to the Config Folder
Place the downloaded XML file into the “Configs” folder.
5. Apply the Config File

Your GCam will now load optimized, device-specific settings.
✨ Benefits of Using GCam Config Files

GCam Config Files are one of the simplest and most effective ways to enhance your smartphone’s camera performance. Since every device has different sensors and processing capabilities, these XML config files help GCam deliver optimized, Pixel-like results—without any manual tweaking. By applying the right config file, you can instantly improve color accuracy, HDR performance, low-light clarity, and overall image quality.
